Katch is dishing out extra helpings of plant-based passion with our PR and social media services in support of our client Neat Burger this January (Veganuary). The Lewis Hamilton-backed, first-of-its-kind, plant-based restaurant has kicked off 2021 with a tonne of full-flavoured energy:
In addition to launching awesome new dishes, Neat Burger has been doing its bit to promote the Veganuary cause. This year saw a record number of more than 500,000 people sign up for the Veganuary campaign. Moreover, research by Finder estimates the number of vegans in the UK has risen by 40% (445,428 people) in the past year.
The Filet-no-Fish burger is the UK’s first plant-based fish burger on the menu of a fast-food chain. Made from sustainably sourced jackfruit, a fruit that has exploded in popularity for use as a plant-based alternative, the Filet-no-Fish burger is cooked in crispy breadcrumbs on a soft, flour bun, with lashings of tartare sauce and fresh, crispy lettuce. It also comes with or without cheese and promises to rival non-vegan fish burgers in both taste and environmental credentials.
With jackfruit being a far more sustainable alternative to fish, along with reports of overfishing currently being a worse threat to our oceans than climate change, a plant-based alternative to the popular fish burger couldn’t have come soon enough. Neat Burger is calling on the nation to switch to its plant-based alternative this Veganuary.
Neat Burger is dedicated to bringing you tasty, ethical goodies that are better for you, better for animals, and better for our planet. The brand strives to make a difference and help reverse the effects of climate change and other human-caused environmental issues. Upon opening, Neat Burger’s team began working with Eden Reforestation Projects, promising to plant a tree for every burger sold. And, just like they do on Deliveroo, they’ve delivered! To this day, the collaboration has resulted in the planting of over 100,000 trees, and counting!
The Smoke Stack
The Smoke Stack has landed, and it means business! Neat Burger has taken two juicy patties by Beyond Meat, combined them with smoked gouda, panko-covered crispy onion rings, fresh organic lettuce, red onion, and, of course, the secret smokey BBQ sauce, and stacked it all on top of each other to bring you one mouth-watering burger.
An Award-Winning Game-Changer
On top of being crowned Deliveroo’s Best Vegan Offering, Neat Burger has now been shortlisted for the Retailers’ Retailer Emerging Concept Award 2021. The Retailers’ Retailer Awards celebrate the very best concepts and individuals, recognising and rewarding true excellence in the market. The online ceremony will take place in March and votes will come exclusively from senior executives within the industry. Stay tuned!
Neat Burger has restaurants in Soho, Oxford Circus, and Camden, and is also available on Deliveroo across London. You don’t want to miss out on this full-flavour game-changer!
