Game-changer partnership alert! We’re delighted to announce Neat Burger is the official Plant-based Partner of Extreme E, the new electric off-road motor-racing championship.

Going Global

Extreme E, starting early 2021, is a sport for purpose. The series will visit five remote locations: arctic, desert, rainforest, glacier, and coastal. These areas are already damaged or severely under threat of climate change from a range of serious issues, including melting ice caps, deforestation, desertification and rising sea levels, which are all impacted by climate change and human influences.

Extreme E will promote the benefits of electric vehicle and clean mobility technology. Additionally, the purpose driven sporting series aims to use its platform to promote everyday solutions society can take to help reverse the effects of climate change on the planet.

A Partnership for All Terrains

Alejandro Agag, Founder and CEO at Extreme E, commented, “It’s a little different for a motorsport series to have a plant-based partner, but, as we look to create a sport for purpose, it is important to consider all the areas that impact how sustainable and environmentally friendly our championship is, and our food choices play a key role.”

“Neat Burger shares the same values as Extreme E in terms of environmental wellbeing and promoting solutions for our planet. We certainly believe it’s important for us all to acknowledge that what we eat is having a real impact on our planet. I’m delighted we will be serving food on our race sites that aligns so well to our values of being better for the earth,” he added.

Stasi Nychas, Co-Founder and Head of Operations at Neat Burger, stated, “We are delighted to team up with Extreme E as its official Plant-based Partner ahead of the launch of its 2021 championship. As the world’s first plant-based sustainable burger chain, we are committed to championing environmental sustainability and playing our part in positively impacting the environment. Therefore, we are proud to have partnered with such a like-minded brand in Extreme E, whose team is dedicated to spreading awareness and promoting solutions to climate change and other serious environmental issues.”

Healthier, Ethical & More Sustainable

In addition to serving its plant-based dishes on location, Neat Burger is developing dedicated burgers for each Extreme E race. The burgers will be tailored to the unique flavours and heritage of each host country. This special edition menu will be revealed in coming months. Moreover, it’ll be available for order and delivery from Neat Burger restaurants every month throughout Season 1 of the championship.

The world’s first plant-based sustainable burger chain  recently partnered with Deliveroo to deliver free meals to frontline NHS workers. Neat Burger also partners with Beyond Meat to collaborate with The Eden Project, planting one tree for every burger sold.

Neat Burger opened its first site in September 2019, just off Regent Street in London. The fast-food game-changer is also set to open its second dine-in outlet at Camden Market this year. But, stay stay tuned, because plans for global expansion across Europe, the US and Middle East are already in place.
